Hillside Roof Replacement in Lakeview Heights

Set against the Lakeview Heights hillside, this West Kelowna home combines street-facing gables, changing roof elevations, and a long rear section hidden from ground view. Blue Jay Roofing completed the replacement with a continuous architectural shingle finish across the main roof and each connected lower section.

The project story

01

Access changes when the lot rises behind the home

The hillside and mature landscaping limit ladder positions, staging space, and visibility along the rear elevation. Planning has to account for safe access, material movement, and debris control on more than the street-facing side.

02

Changing roof heights must work as one system

The main roof, lower sections, and intersecting gables meet at several elevations. Shingle courses and transitions need to stay consistent as water moves from the upper roof toward lower eaves and drainage points.

03

A continuous finish from the street to the hillside

The completed architectural shingles unify the front gables, broad central roof, and long rear slope. Even the sections hidden from the driveway carry the same dimensional texture and clean ridge treatment.

Project questions

What homeowners ask about this work

What makes hillside roof access different?

Sloped lots can affect ladder placement, material handling, debris control, and visibility from the ground. The crew evaluates safe access and staging as part of project planning rather than treating every property the same.
